NFER has now launched its new Self-Review Tool to help schools and colleges review how they are engaging with research and in enquiry, and to show how it can be used with a school improvement plan.
It is built on over 60 years of experience at NFER as a leading research organisation and research has shown that schools that use academic or professional research findings to support change often have the best outcomes (Schleicher, 2011). The Self-Review Tool is a FREE online tool that provides:
· A set of eight key statements defining a research-engaged school or college
· A downloadable chart and report of your results, including suggested next steps
· Links to resources (from NFER and elsewhere) to help with your school improvement plan
You can do a quick review yourself or set up an account for your school or college to involve all your staff and get a whole-school picture. Try out the tool to see how it can help your school.
